  • Last evening we were able to thank Hospitality Homes’ volunteer hosts for all that they do with a little nosh and drink at Mamaleh's. It was so wonderful to enjoy the company of both long-time hosts and new hosts who are all deeply dedicated to the mission of this organization. The room was filled with memories, ambitions, and an overall sense of excitement for what the next year will bring. Thank you again to the volunteer hosts for being the heart and soul of this organization. Special thanks to Mamaleh's for the great service, spread, and atmosphere! If you would like to join the ranks of this wonderful community by becoming a volunteer host, you can learn more and apply at http://hosp.org/get-involved/about-hosting. • Hospitality Homes and AvalonBay Communities are thrilled to announce that we have entered into a partnership to provide two donated apartments to support the hundreds of families Hospitality Homes houses when traveling to Boston each year for world-renowned medical care. One of the apartments is located in the Back Bay (pictured right) and the other in a new building adjacent to North Station (pictured left). Every year, many Americans must travel thousands of miles to seek the best in medical care. With an average hotel room rate of $257.00 per night, finding an affordable place to stay looms especially large in Boston. “We are thrilled to partner with AvalonBay to bring access to Boston’s healthcare community. Ensuring a safe place to stay means so much to families already enduring tough financial decisions. We hope to model these partnerships in the future. As healthcare costs rise and the shortage of housing continues to be a challenge in our community, innovative collaborations such as this will provide opportunities, while at the same time actually improving the patient experience.” -Marianne Jones, Executive Director of Hospitality Homes “The collaboration between Hospitality Homes and AvalonBay Communities, Inc. is a unique opportunity to provide an affordable option for families seeking medical care,” said Sarah Mathewson, Senior Vice President of Residential Services of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. “It extends our long-standing company core value of a Spirit of Caring, and is a part of our overall commitment to Building Strong Communities in the regions in which we do business.” -Sarah Mathewson, Senior Vice President of Residential Services of AvalonBay Communities, Inc.
